The Spring/Summer 2013 campaigns are out (part 1)

And they are beautiful. Striking. Dreamy. And inspirational.

If looking out the window does little more than send shivers of cold down your spine and clouds of grey in front of your eyes, these images are a sure-fire fashion pick-me-up, delicious and easy. For the next couple of days, stay tuned to get the full overview of the ones that count and enchant.

Since I want to start with a very feel-good vibe, I'll go with Lancome and its new campaign for the brand's spring/ summer 2013 In Love collection staring Emma Watson.  The collection is a vibrant mix of spring-inspired pastels and bold coral, violet, fuchsia and orange hues - a kaleidoscope of colour bound to make you feel all fuzzy inside (and thinking of cotton candy at a fun fair). Watson, who has been an ambassador for Lancome since 2011, sports side-slicked hair, a bright turquoise liner and a pop of pink on her cheeks in the campaign images and cites her favourite pieces from the collection as Baume In Love in Rose Macaron, Ombre In Love in Sugar Rose, Khôl In Love in Jade Crush and Blush In Love in Pommettes d'Amour. Delicious, it makes me crave a big ice cream and a colourful bathing suit on a beach somewhere.

On a more dreamy note, Mulberry, always one to tell a phantasy story, this time went 20,000 leagues under the sea or, as Ronnie Cooke Newhouse, who directed the shoot, said, "a kind of lunar landscape below the sea in a world that almost exists but may be more of a beautiful dream." OK, so that explanation runs a little deep for me, but the images are undeniably pretty, feminine and ethereal. Shot by acclaimed photographer Tim Walker, the campaign shows model Meghan Collison wearing key catwalk looks such as classic English tailored pieces, coats and capes layered over dresses, together with the Willow, Cecily and Cecily Flowers totes in a nice palette of lovely pastels, as well as basic neutrals as caramel, black and white.
