A critical view of Critics' Choice Awards fashion choices

Another day, another red carpet of A-lister fashion choices. Thursday night's Critics Choice Awards had celebs step up their style game, although I'm really hoping that they leave the hesitant gowns asides and take out the big guns at tomorrow's Golden Globes.

My 3 favourite critical choices from the night:

1) Naomi Watts (again)

This time around, the Aussie beauty chose a beautiful-in-its-simplicity Emilio Pucci Resort gown. It was  black with a sheer and sexy cutout on the front, very clean, very sleek, very sensual and very elegant. And the earrings - total love! Overall, a perfect look for a red carpet timeless moment.

2) Helen Hunt

Helen Hunt is four months away from the big 5-0. Not that you could tell from the sizzling red Philip Seymour number she pulled out for the Critics Choice Awards. The dress, body-hugging with beautiful side panels of lace, looked incredibly elegant and Helen was completely radiant. A fantastic and age-defying look for the ages.

3) Marion Cotillard

Trust madame Cotillard to bring out the big fashion guns, even if her style never strays away from keywords like "elegant" and "lady-like". The beautiful flower patterned A-line Zuhair Murad Couture dress was not at all what you'd expect from the architectural high fashion powerhouse and everything that could be lovely. Favourite detail? So sweet from the front and an all cut-out back. A big yes!
