Shoe of the week

Or a lesson in how to reinterpret a classic. And by classic I refer not only to the very recognizable works of art of six of the most influential artists of the 20th century (Picasso, Mondrian, Van Gogh, Pollock, Roy Lichtenstein and Robert Delaunay), but also to the equally recognizable (at least in footwear afficionados circles) of the Charlotte Olympia Dolly platform heel.

Celebratory of the 2012 edition of Art Basel Miami, Neiman Marcus commissioned shoes are painted entirely by hand and offer an interesting homage to the great art masters. The result is a limited edition of 100 pairs of jaw-droppingly beautiful, incredibly inspirational and surprisingly wearable heels, available only at Neiman Marcus Bel Harbour in Miami. But, just as with anything else, their unattainable status makes them all the more attractive. Lust away!
