In with the new

If you squint just the tiniest bit and look at it with your head cocked to the side, chances are you will soon start seeing a close resemblance between the fashion world and the Amazonian jungle - both are luxuriant, thick in details and with a little everything to cater to every taste, but thick and difficult to navigate. Since we are talking about Romania, the jungle may still be in the baby stages of growth, but it is unquestionably getting more complex by the day. Hence, if you do not have the time or patience to constantly keep up with all the latest and hotest, you might be missing out on some great style choices. Which is why I am also happy to see initiatives like the newly opened www.romaniafashion.ro (fresh out of the cyber-oven, since it was launched only yesterday) - a bold attempt at cataloguing all that's moving in Romanian fashion.

With a clean interface and clear sections, including segments dedicated to trends or interviews, it shows the potential to become quite the hangout for all those looking to be plugged in with the local fashion environment and have all the contact information they need when they find that perfect buy. And, while there are still a few aspects to be chiseled out, we're giving it a big thumbs-up for the eclectic mix of designer names. I mean, where else are you going to find a household name like Dan Coma, maroquinier extraordinaire, next to the relatively recent and avant-garde brand Murmur?! So here's to you, www.romaniafashion.ro, may you be blessed with good traffic numbers and a long life in the Romanian online. Bottoms up!
